Privacy Policy

When you engage in certain activities on this Site, such as registering an account with the Site, ordering a product, returning an order, inquiring about our products, contacting customer service, signing up for email updates or other promotional materials, submitting content and/or posting content in any public areas of the Site, entering a contest or sweepstakes, subscribing to our blog, participating in a marketing survey, promotion or event, or sending us feedback, we may ask you to provide certain information about yourself, which may include personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address, address, and mobile phone number (collectively “Personal Information”). By voluntarily providing us with your Personal Information, you are consenting to our use of it in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  You may email SuperFat at hello@superfat.com to find out what Personal Information about you has been collected, and to request changes to the Personal Information.

We use a third party payment processor to process payments made to us.  In connection with the processing of such payments, we do not retain any financial information such as credit card numbers.  Rather, all such financial information, together with any Personal Information that you provide in the order process, is provided directly to our third party processor, Shopify. The third party processor’s use of your financial information and any other Personal Information that you provide to them in the order process, is governed by Shopify’s privacy policy which may be viewed at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.

In addition, the Site automatically collects anonymous information about Users. For example, the Site automatically gathers a User’s Internet Protocol address, which Internet Service Provider the User utilizes, statistics about how Users navigate through and use the Site, and information gathered through the use of “cookies.”  A “cookie” is a piece of data stored on the User’s computer tied to information about the User.  SuperFat uses cookies and the other anonymous information to understand how Users choose the Site, and to know when Users have accessed the Site from a paid advertiser, an affiliate website, or a strategic partner website. SuperFat also compiles statistics that track the usage of the Site.  These statistics are used for internal purposes only and contain no Personal Information.

Solely for the purposes of confirming valid traffic from certain pay-per-click search engines, IP addresses for such Users may be monitored and may be compared to the records of that search engine.

At this time the Site does not recognize automated browser signals regarding tracking mechanisms, which may include “do not track” instructions.  However, you can change your privacy preferences regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies through your browser.  You may set your browser to accept all cookies, block certain cookies, require your consent before a cookie is placed in your browser, or block all cookies.  Blocking all cookies may affect your online experience and may prevent you from using all of the features of the Site.  Please consult the “Help” section of your browser for more information.

SuperFat works to protect the security of Personal Information during transmission by using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) software, which encrypts the information that is transmitted on the Site. SuperFat uses the Personal Information of a User to market its products, collect and process orders for its products, and to respond to customer service or support questions. SuperFat may employ companies and individuals to perform functions on SuperFat’s behalf. Examples may include providing marketing assistance, performing statistical analysis, providing customer service and processing orders and payments. These companies and individuals will have access to the Personal Information only as necessary to perform their functions, and may not access or use it for any other purpose.  If you are a California resident, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits you to request information regarding the disclosure of your Personal Information by SuperFat to third parties for the third parties’ direct marketing purposes.  To make such a request, please send an email to hello@superfat.com.

SuperFat has appropriate security measures in place within its database and physical facilities to protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that has been collected on the Site. These measures include limiting the number of people who have physical access to SuperFat’s database servers, as well as electronic security systems and password protections which guard against unauthorized access. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet, or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and we are unable to guarantee the absolute security of the Personal Information we have collected from you.

SuperFat may occasionally use a User’s Personal Information to provide customer service to the User, such as communicating with Users about their accounts and/or orders.

SuperFat may also use a User’s Personal Information to notify the User of SuperFat’s products and special offers via periodic mailings or e-mail updates. Users may opt-out of these communications by emailing SuperFat at hello@superfat.com with “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the subject line. 

We may share Personal Information with our service providers, including those who assist us with marketing, and with other trusted parties whom we believe offer products or services that may be of interest to you.

SuperFat will not sell Personal Information of any User. However, in the event SuperFat goes through a business transition, such as a merger or an acquisition of its equity interests or assets, the Personal Information of SuperFat’s Users will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred.

Direct Mailings and Your Mailing Address

Our site uses a third party service to match browser cookies to your mailing address. We then use another company to send special offers through the mail on our behalf. Our company never receives or stores any of this information and our third parties do not provide or sell this information to any other company or service.

To opt-out of our direct mail, you may send us an email at hello@superfat.com or send a written request to 21750 Hardy Oak Blvd #104-2580 San Antonio, Texas 78258. We will honor those requests, but please understand that it may take 7 days for such mailings to end.

SuperFat may maintain links to other websites on the Site, including social media sites. If a User chooses to visit other websites from the Site, SuperFat will not be responsible for the privacy practices or content of those other websites. 

SuperFat may post customer testimonials on the Site.  SuperFat will obtain the prior consent of the customer prior to posting any testimonial that contains that customer’s name or other Personal Information

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (“COPPA”) imposes restrictions on commercial websites, including ours.  It is our policy to be compliant with the requirements of COPPA and not to solicit or collect Personal Information from children under age 13 (“Child”) without parent or guardian consent.  If you are a parent or guardian and you learn that your Child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us. If we discover that a Child under 13 has provided us with Personal Information, we will delete such information from our servers.

Although SuperFat makes every effort to preserve User privacy, SuperFat may need to disclose or provide access to Personal Information if SuperFat has a good faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with the law, such as in connection with a judicial proceeding, court order or legal process.
